JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting the effective and efficient sourcing of components, commodities, services, and capital equipment for the Hickman plant.
In addition, this position is responsible for the implementation of Group Purchasing initiatives at the Hickman plant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Maintain continuing knowledge and an understanding of the company's outside supplier product demands and production scheduling techniques to support the timely availability and procurement of required materials within the current inventory guidelines.
• Locate and select new and alternate sources of supply to meet the production requirements of the plant.
• Establish and maintain effective contacts and working relationships with vendors and suppliers for all necessary information.
• Prepare and communicate product specifications to vendors for bid as appropriate and negotiate with the most favorable bidder(s) considering costs, quality, delivery, etc.
• Award and administer purchase orders and contracts/agreements in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for supporting the site spare parts storeroom activities including but not limited to minimum stock levels, maximum stock levels and reorder points.
• Daily interface between plant project engineering, maintenance, and production with purchasing to ensure resolution of delivery, quality, or other supplier performance issues.
• Lead and implement general cost-savings initiatives for the Hickman plant.
• Implementation of Corporate Purchasing initiatives at the Hickman plant.
• Performing other duties as required that are in support of Hickman Plant and/or corporate goals.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or Business.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
• Prefer 3-5 years' experience within production, procurement, or engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• APICS CPIM certification a plus.

Salary: $75,000.
