You will be responsible for your department's organization and scheduling to ensure optimal productivity and work flow.
Be the champion for continuous improvement and efficiency in the department.
Duties include preparation of daily and weekly schedules for assigned product lines or departments and for coordination with overall master schedule.
Communicate regularly with purchasing and production staff to adjust schedules to accommodate changes in machine and material availability or staffing.
We are seeking an experienced, self-starting individual to join our company as a Production Scheduler.
As part of our production team, you will maintain production schedules according to customer needs, maximizing effectiveness and throughput in all aspects of the production process.
Other tasks as assigned may be given by management.
Responsibilities: * Coordinate production workflow for multiple products * Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay * Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand * Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations * Schedule shift according to production needs * Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget * Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption * Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.
) * Prepare and submit status and performance reports * Keep paperwork organized * Collaborate with quality control, maintenance, warehouse and other staff The ideal production scheduler will meet the following qualifications: * Proven experience as production planner * Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles * Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning) * Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems * Good at math and statistics * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication abilities * High school diploma; Further education or certification is preferred · All employees are required to have, and are provided competence training in safety, forklift operation, and other training as deemed necessary by management.
· Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.
