This is a full-time, direct placement role at Artisan Contracting.

Position Responsibilities:
Review initial project schedule(s) with the Construction Manager and Pre-construction services
Interpret details of project plan(s), specifications, schedules and bid proposal(s)
Attend hand-off meeting and pre-construction meeting
Gather information for daily productions
Order materials
Verify all documents are correctly “phased” and sent to the Accounts Payable Clerk
Assure T&M work tickets are signed
Submit accurate time sheets in a timely manner to the Payroll Clerk
Complete daily report/diary
Act as company representative to owner’s daily project representative
Attend all project progress meetings
Report immediately all incidents/accidents to the Safety Manager and Construction Manager
Administer and record weekly toolbox talk(s)
Direct daily activities of Construction Foreman and/or Assistant Superintendent(s) as well as all subordinate production personnel
Consult with Regional Coordinator-Personnel on all personnel issues
Coordinate equipment needs with Construction Manager
Complete project safety and compliance forms
Evaluate all new hires within 3 day time-frame to determine if adequate job performance exists
Coordinate field survey/engineering/GPS file needs with Quality Specialist-Grade Control
Consult Construction Manager for material(s) delivery, employee attitudes and behavior(s) and schedule subcontractors to maintain schedule
Assure all safety policies are followed on the project, including subcontractors and suppliers
Assure quality on each job
Communicate with Regional Coordinator-Personnel on daily personnel needs
Authorize rental of small tools from local rental companies
Determine all “call offs” or calls for “rain-out” and communicate status of personnel/project to Regional Coordinator-Personnel
Attend to non-routine tasks/items required during the absence of Construction Manager
Observe intentional and/or negligent equipment abuse and take appropriate action
Coordinate daily fuel deliveries with pre-approved vendors

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred or relevant work experience.
MSHA Training preferred
Experience in industrial construction management or supervision.
Proven track record of successfully managing industrial construction projects from start to finish.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
