Overview:
The Materials Receiver position is intended to add value by assisting the Field Buyer with daily tasks including receiving all materials and maintaining accurate inventory of major material items on site.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate deliveries by accompanying truck drivers to the proper drop sites
Coordinate deliveries to dropped off at the designated location in the laydown yard for each area of construction
Responsible for ensuring all material packing slips are accurate
Responsible for distributing materials to proper site personnel
Responsible for inventory control and storage of items received into inventory
Provide daily report to onsite management of material deliveries
Maintain major material tracking check out log
Responsible for completing necessary receiving paperwork for accounting use
Inspect all deliveries for damage and defects
Coordinate with Expeditor to ensure management team has delivery dates
Coordinate with site management to ensure equipment is properly transferred to appropriate subcontractors in a timely manner
Uploading all supporting documentation, POIRs, and updated Inventory sheets into Procore daily Track and coordinate pre-turnover maintenance of permanent plant equipment
Responsible for ensuring all materials are stored properly according to vendor requirements
Create and maintain onsite subcontractor contact list
Backup support for the Onsite Purchaser
Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel
A minimum of one year of construction experience
Able to operate a forklift
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek's Zero Injury principles
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Internet and Scheduling Software
Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers and the general public
Knowledge of rigging and off-loading of materials
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
