The Supervisor’s primary responsibilities will be to facilitate and oversee activities in the engine rebuild department while ensuring profitability of operations & compliance with all labor, safety, environmental & company policies & regulations.
This role is a "boots on the ground" role with some time spent on administrative functions.

Education / Training:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field preferred.

Key Job Elements:
• Assist with production activities as needed to meet production goals.
Lead by example and work alongside direct reports;
• Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives and production goals are met;
• Optimize shop throughout in accordance with budgets and cost objectives;
• Effectively lead the workforce in safe work practices and facilitate the overall zero harm, positive safety culture of the plant to ensure compliance with the plant safety program;
• Coordinate plant activities through the planning with the management team to ensure the total production goals and objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner;
• Assist with controlling and minimizing labor costs, operating expenditures and repair expenses;
• Responsible for execution of production schedules and production time allocation;
• Ensure that all production employees receive appropriate training on job duties, policies and procedures;
• Ultimately responsible for performance management of all employees.
This will include establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), goal setting and performance reviews, disciplinary action, career development, training, and succession planning;
• Develop direct reports through teamwork, coaching and communication and provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives;
• Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
• 3-5 years experience in manufacturing environment;
• Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience;
• Strong analytical & decision-making skills with a high regard for business ethics;
• Highly motivated, results oriented, driven & able to work within precise limits & standards;
• Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives & realizing results;
• Lean/continuous improvement experience required, especially centered around daily management processes;
• Proven leadership experience in motivating, developing & coaching people, building cohesive leadership teams, setting goals & tactics to achieve plans;
• Experience building relationships, communication & trust across all levels.
