Our 2nd shift schedule is Monday-Thursday, 3pm-1:00a.
m.
The shift incentive includes a 10% -15% premium, paid lunch, 3 day weekends, formal airframe training and eligibility to transfer to 1st shift after 3 years.

What you can expect as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician at West Star: Whether you arereplacing or repairing parts, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical/hydraulic and pneumatic systems or performing inspections on some of the most sophisticated civilian aircraft in the world, no day is the same.

You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including: Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
Removal and installation of panels and components, Troubleshooting and problem solving aircraft system/component issues De-fueling aircraft, Engine removal/installations, Operating ground support equipment, Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/ taxiing Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements: What you'll need to bring with you: Your Education: A High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
Avalid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Your Experience : Technician I: 0-2 years' experience as an A&P mechanic Technician II: 2-5 years' experience as an A&P mechanic Technician III: 5+ years' experience as an A&P mechanic Your Work Schedule: Shift I- Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Shift II- Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-1:00am Weekends: Friday-Saturday 6am-6:30pm Your Initiative: We're looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.
Your Sense of Responsibility: Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
Maintain customer oriented work habits.
Other particulars: Physical Requirements Lifts 50 lbs.
Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting.
Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.
Mental Requirements Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation.
Work with others in a professional manner.
Supervision Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance.
May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.
Working Conditions The majority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar.
Work outside during aircraft runs will occur.
Varied positions in and around the aircraft.
Equipment Used Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic.
Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment.
Jacks, stands, lifts and other support devices.
Tugs, power carts and other engine powered equipment.
