Position Summary
The ideal candidate shall have industrial electrical experience in several manufacturing fields, have graduated from an accredited apprenticeship program, and have a current Journeyman’s License.
This person should have experience in new constructions as well as adds, moves, and changes in existing facilities.
This person should possess a good working knowledge of the typical manufacturing process and have good troubleshooting skills.
Duties and Responsibilities Include
Essential Duties:
Reports directly to the job site Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager depending on the job
Provide detailed paperwork and documentation to ensure accurate record keeping, billing, and inventory
Be able to request the proper tools and materials needed
Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in a professional and workmanlike manner
Direct and train apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical and control systems
Install electrical equipment, fans/blowers, motors, generators, MCCC, Distribution Equipment, Transformers, and UPS Systems
Inspect electrical and control systems, to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
Troubleshoot electrical and control systems using the test meters and equipment to ensure a functioning system, compatibility, and safety
Plan the layout and installation of electrical and control wiring based on blueprints, schematics, job specifications, and local codes
Use a variety of power and hand tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps
Feel comfortable working from ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and roofs
Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduits and moving and lifting heavy objects
Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services as needed
Work from heights and be able to lift at least 50 pounds
Be able to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

What You'll Bring to the Team
Must be at least 21 years of age
High School Diploma, HSE, or GED
Journeyman License
Completed Apprenticeship Program
A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Journeyman
Must have a strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and possess knowledge of such electrical and control construction
Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests
Ability to manage compliance issues (OSHA, MSHA, First Aid/CPR, PPE, random drug/alcohol screens, etc.
)
Ability to read and comprehend requests for bids/quotes, work orders, electrical drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to communicate with others at all levels of the organization and to assimilate and understand the information in a manner consistent with essential job functions
Knowledge and compliance with company safety and disciplinary programs
May be required to pass a physical abilities test/post offer screen for employment
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per Company requirements
